The Swiss National Bank (SNB) is authorised to automatically delete users’ access to the SNB Secure Encryption Gateway and/or to the key material needed for decrypting e-mails sent via SNB Secure WebMail and/or SNB Secure Registered Envelope if they have not logged onto the SNB Secure Encryption Gateway for more than 420 days. This deletion means that all e-mails, data and/or files transmitted via SNB Secure WebMail and/or SNB Secure Registered Envelope and/or accessible via the SNB Secure Encryption Gateway will be deleted and/or can no longer be decrypted by users. Users are themselves responsible for storing any e-mails, data and/or files transmitted via SNB Secure WebMail and/or SNB Secure Registered Envelope and/or accessible via the SNB Secure Encryption Gateway. The SNB is not liable for the loss of such e-mails, data and/or files and/or for any damage arising from or in connection with the deletion of access to the SNB Secure Encryption Gateway and/or the deletion of e-mails, data and/or files transmitted via SNB Secure WebMail and/or SNB Secure Registered Envelope and/or accessible via the SNB Secure Encryption Gateway.
